If super cup gets AFC slot then we should have ALL teams from top 2 div in it...group stage home and away (24 teams in 8 groups) followed by knockout. Sort of like FA cup where everyone gets a chance. Infact we can also include league 2 and still have only 32 teams. They can still be divided into 8 group and still add only 6 matches to all teams. We are sure to see upsets and it will be fun. Alas aunty may never greenlight it .....
going by conversations here in past few days its like major chunk of ISL fans hate legacy fans.... legacy fans want ISL to fail or prove their point its circus .. pretty much picture everywhere nowadays on all forums and groups , All Hail Indian Football!!
Next few days will be very interesting as far as Indian football is concerned. After watching India-Pak match at Birmingham today, Aunty & most of the fake owners will meet on Monday to fine tune the Indian Football Road Map. Then on Wednesday AFC will conduct a meeting which in all probability will be a damp squib. Then Aunty will reduce the no. of existing franchises from 8 to 6 plus Bengaluru & Tata. Subsequently it will be declared by FSDL that in the greater interest of Indian Football, ISL & I-League will be run one after another.....ISL from 15 Nov to 31 Jan & I-League from 15 Feb to 31 May (during the most soothing climate). Federation Cup (& not Super Cup) will be held from 7 to 18 Jun at Chennai / Kolkata / Kochi / Goa where there will be 2 water breaks in each half. After all these jugglery if any slot is found, then the NT will play a couple of International matches against Nepal & Bhutan. That will make everybody happy. Prafooool & co will have peaceful time & Aunty & co will have satisfaction of not permitting any Club an entry to ISL without paying "cut money". Long Live AIFF Long Live FSDL
There has been substantial financial loss to a few franchises. A few can sustain for some more years, others may not want to sustain. By having a longer ISL the cost will further escalate & the loss could be even more. So the logical solution will be to continue with the existing structure of ISL to minimize the loss & prepare a suitable Road Map for their own survival.

Although I do hate how, despite whatever happens with the ISL or I-League, we are destined for a one months style domestic cup.
