Woah, Clubs having the name Atletico are plenty in the world and the average fan easily understands it.
By your logic Athletico is non Bengali but kingfisher and McDowell as your football club name is acceptable?
McDowell or Kingfisher are Sponsor's product name & Atletico is a Spanish word. That is the difference. If Jhandu Balm becomes ATK sponsor or associates then the name should be Jhandu Atletico de Kolkata but funnily without any Spanish connection.
Mcdowell, Kingfisher and any such sponsor may come and go but the club identity remains what it is. And those prefix are only for TV commentators and journalists, the common fan calls the club what they are for 100 yrs. ATK is even more a joke now with ATM now gone. Atleast earlier it had a plausible explanation
Like I said before, Liverpool will not get involved in India. They have other things to do, and the history of the clubs they got involved with previously has not exactly gone the way they want.
If they get involved in the future, it will be similar to DSK in that they will provide coaches with affiliation with Liverpool (who need to be paid by the club associated here in India) and only at youth level.
