This fee kills all the small teams options. only teams like EB,MB and BFC can pay. even SFC and SCG can pay but they won't. DSK can but they mostly will marge with FCPC.
I really do not understand this concept of 'pay to play' when the league should pay the clubs shares of earnings from sponsorship money, TV deals, matchday ads and other incomes.
In ISL, clubs are left with own sponsorship deals and gate sales. Rest are wiped off by STAR, IMG-R. AIFF gets peanuts. No wonder clubs are in the reds. What kind of business model is this? Why the ability to pay IMG-R the 'fee' should decide who will be allowed in the league, instead of sporting reasons?
I don't mind having teams pay a fee to get into the league but the way IMG-Reliance (and other Indian sports leagues) goes about it does not look sustainable at all.
The people involved in this do not give me much hope.
But I league club is right , why they should need to pay ? ISL franchise have fee clause in their contract not I league clubs - Right now IMG need KEB, MB and BFC more than these clubs .
BFC has organised few Indian team matches in Bengaluru like India vs Pakistan all things were done by JSW .
arsenal first year bfc has hosted india vs pakistan series & aiff has taken prize money from bfc for i-league wininig team.2 . and about dsk indian national team is using their facilites so they can freely play in i-league
Ask ISL team to pay and join I-league. why the hell it is happening other way round. If you have given marketing rights doesn't mean they will take you for a ride. Ask the them fuck off dont release players... Just pop up some where asking like age old clubs to pay and play using the players developed by them and eating up the calendar. really what the fuck is going on in Indian football. Does anybody has guts to stand out and fight this non sense. Players wont open the mouth because of money.

We can talk about the best way to go about the merger etc. but when there is so much shadiness it is like, what is the point?
