You know, @munna219777, we keep discussing this bullshit family thing you seem to use everytime when talking about the ISL but never provide proper proof of it... so why keep using it?
If Chennai winning is called fixed, anyone can claim that FC Goa playing in front of home crowd was fixed from day one... noone would go and watch a Delhi vs Chennai final held in Goa atleast....even last year many kbfc fans said that final was rigged. Pathetic defence by Goa in the dying minutes and lapse of concentration led to those goals....as simple as that.
@goalkeepar Eh, I respect your opinion. But keep in mind that Dempo is involved with ownership of the team and if FC Goa apparently knew of some things before hand then surely he would know as well. Dempo has a lot of influence in Indian football, even being part of the AIFF.
Also I feel players who left the league would have said something by now. Zico, Lucio... these guys have nothing to lose exactly. Even if they accepted the fixing, they can come out now and actually be praised for bringing about "justice" in a country that everyone knows has a corrupt football organization and corrupt society overall.
I don't know, but if it was fixed I feel we would have heard something more from players by now.
Mumbai City FC currently play their games in DY Patil Stadium but what about Wankhede Stadium? Maybe 5 games in DY Patil and then 2 in Wankhede? Also, Kerala, games in EMS Stadium? Always gets great crowds, even with Viva Kerala. Would be great and also more intimate than Nehru Stadium.
Also, what about NorthEast United at the Nehru Stadium in Shillong for a game or two?
@ArsenalFan700 Wankhede Stadium is owned by Mumbai Cricket Association. They have Nets and Cricket Pitch all the time. The Association has full ownership and they do not give their stadium for any other sport.
D Y Patil stadium is owned by a private trust of politician and educationist D Y Patil and although they built it with Cricket in mind, they are not getting the chance to host Cricket matches because Association already has Wankhede Stadium. So they can go for Football.
Even Brabourne stadium is there but those people do not give it for any sport. just some customary 3 day match against visiting team so that their vote membership in BCCI continues as they host First Class Cricket.
No Cricket Association is giving their owned stadium for any other sport.
