    @goalkeeper ;

    BTW I too agree, some guys who aren't in form made it to the squad but thats upto coaches discretion.

    Either go with tested guys who fits your puzzle
    Or
    Go with performing players who haven't played as a team.

    Football is a team game. 1 or 2 players don't make a team.

    Was at the game today, really dissapointed with the arrows approach...noone supporting the striker, sort of played 3 at the back, i mean cmon if there is no fear of relegation there is a scope to be more positive. Floyd pinto has to be taken to task for this.
     Even when they got into EB half,big heavy extra touches by evryone.
    First half especially the right winger was awefull.,couldnt keep up with the game.
    Only after going 2 down did they react. #7 was quality though.

    @thebeautifulgame that's why I said ''ot more than Jobby' and not 'less than Jobby' ?

    Btw, I am personally against including Jobby in the national team at this moment. I want him to mature a bit more. Let he not be one more partially cooked product in our frontline. He has the potential for more.

    Joby Justin not been considered for NT yet topping the Indian goal scorers' list is a tight slap on Consti's face. I consider not including him and Soosairaj in place of Passi and Jeje tantamount to a big scam. What more can a player do to get in the NT (and what the other two have done meanwhile?)? 'Partially cooked' product? One thinks the development of a player stops after he gets into the NT LOL?

    The whole thing stems from the bid to undermine IL and move on with ISL players. These players will be in the NT once they join ISL clubs next season, enabling the NT to advertise ISL: 'so many players in NT from ISL clubs'. Message is clear: you don't have any future in NT if you are in IL.

    I had said this earlier. Let Jobby finish a full season as EB's no.9 and let him keep playing and scoring. He is physically stronger than any other Indian striker at the moment, he is excellent in the air and really good in the box. His chance will come, I would want Jobby to first light up I-League for a season or two, keep his fitness up and then get into NT.
    Comparing Passi, Manvir, Mukhi is a joke, these 3 don't even come close.

    @Deb_Ban u aren't getting my point. Joby is far better where he is now. While easily better than anyone except Sunil in the NT, he isn't a world class product (he can be after a season or two at a good I League club where he gets some game time). Joby in NT means Joby in circus next season and then, Joby becomes a stagnant thing. Not the best thing possibly. And I don't believe that Consti has the ability to develop a player.

    No guarantee that he will stay in IL next year. He will join the circus to maximize his returns on the hard work done this year, NT or no NT.

    @Samyajit also you can't expect NT coach to develop a player. that is something only club coaches can do.
