Here is some news from zambia who wish to send their u-23 team to India..still I hope it remains a fifa certifed friendly coz if we beat them we would get amazing ranking points...btw they have a high profile friendly against Nigeria before playing us on Nov 15!

If their 1st team is busy with some other tournament then this match is surely going to lose the official tag. In that case it will give us good practice & international experience only.

but they are playing friendly on 15th and not involved in any tourney. So FIFA wont de-recognize the match. Like we sent junior team to AFC Challange Cup but that counted in rankings
  • It should be an official match because I doubt there won't be some over 23 players on the squad. Maybe some local Zambian league players.
  • zambians posts in that website are funny to read...gud job Ronny

Regardless of whetherits over23 or U23, the match will be official International friendly if the teams play according to the standard rules

Zambian 1st team will be busy in CEFACA Cup (whatever it is) from 24 Nov to 12 Dec. The match with India is on Nov 29, according to the website. If they register their 1st team in that tournament, they cannot do the same for the India match, coz you cannot have your NT playing in two places simultaneously. So where is the scope for getting ‘official’ status for the India match?

exactly, its like another Bayern Munich match here, another match for India which is a great exposer game but still does not help in terms of ranking.
