No one has anything against foreigners if they want to represent india at club level namely i league or isl and foreign tournaments

@preetam Zidane was born in France at Marseille. He was French. His parents came from Algeria.

@munna219777 same goes for Michael chopra as well ....but most of guys bashing him for not acceptance of India NT call ...why he would have accepted? he was rumoured to get England NT call up that time....same goes for zidane if there was choice between Algeria and France he choose France and so Michael was right in his place but then he was not chosen ...that time he was on 35000$/ week wage ...do u think any Indian club would have done that in India? ....

@samiam am talking about NT not club ...if India can't accept PIO then make Sony norde and john Johnson play for India NT ....

@preetam You are not understanding. Zidane was born in France and French citizen. Mochael chopra not born in India and not indian citizen.

if India is not giving dual citizenship then fine no need to tweak the rule but they should at least allow PIO to play for India at least for sports that can be done....maria sharapova stays in US but represents Russian during Olympic.... so take a cue

@preetam Maria sharapova stays in USA on Green card which is a visa. sharapova has Russia passport.
Even leander paes got green card but he has indian passport. PIO or OCI card holders are foreign citizen who do not have india passport.

@preetam Marouane Chamakh should be a good example. He was born and brought up in France but his parents were Moroccan. he realised that playing for France Team will be a tall order. So he chose Morocco team. He got two passport- France because he was born there and Morocco as his parents were from there. His France passport enable him to live in London where he plays for Crystal palace I think. Both France and Morocco allow dual citizenship so it helped Chamakh to posess two passport.
India do not have that luxury of Dual Citizenship.

Why India doesn't allow dual citizenship? Why so rigid? Any reason !!

India doesn't want a person to be a citizen of both India and Pakistan /Bangladesh. That is the main deterrent probably.
