He can dodge both ways, that's about it and he does not get overawed by the big stage, that's all I can say for now. In fact, there are a bunch of shortcomings like he can't cross, every time he tried to cross, ball sailed over the bar beyond the goal line. He appeared a bit selfish to me and needs to pass more to better positioned players, not shoot by himself all the time and turn into a big HERO overnight, that ain't gonna happen anyways.
There's this guy from Mohun Bagan who impressed in a Kolkata league game - Manish Bhargav. Any one wanna shed some light about him?
I have never seen any U-19 player performed so well in big derby.this lad is surely gonna be the future star if nurtured properly.Plays as right wing ,excellent dribbling skills and very fast.Scored a good header goal.Here is a video of today's goal scored by him

He is a product of MB SAIL academy.Physique is kind of okay but attitude is very good.Hope you will see more of him if MB register him for second leg of I League.
Definitely a promising talent but the big thing is he does not get overawed by the big stage, if he can control HEROGIRI and keep his feet on the ground, he has a wonderful future ahead.
Also he needs to learn to use the entire field including the corners and whip in accurate inswinging crosses outside the 6 yard box having stretched the rival defence to its limit. He always cuts in and runs towards the penalty box, if he keeps doing that again and again, he will become very predictable to the opposition.

I think he needs to build more muscles.. <!-- s:think: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/eusa/think.gif" alt=":think:" title="Think" /><!-- s:think: -->
He might a nice future and become on of the Indian football stars..
He is a punjab da puttar, muscles will come naturally to him. Without generalizing too much and having seen a lot of players from punjab, I feel they need to learn to keep their cool under pressure and not give away easy free kicks. Also, work on their football sense when it comes to crossing and passing forward through balls.
I have consistently followed Manish's performance in all the matches he has played so far since the big derby where he scored. I present my analysis as follows.
Pros
1. Lots of enterprise true punjab da puttar style, kaafi josh bachchon mein, therefore no dearth of penetration,
2. Wants to score, gets or tries get close to the goalmouth with speed, can win penalties given the quality of some of the defenders, even in the I league.
Cons
1. Has sent in four crosses this far which did have a hint of inswing but all wayward, sailed over the head of everyone and landed just outside the box.
2. Always cuts in and runs towards the box as mentioned before makes him very predictable. He must consider himself lucky that coaches in I-league ain't that observant, in fact Sanjay Sen had his left back bottle him up for good in the Prayag game. Those who carefully observed Robben in the Bayern Munich game could see how much trouble was Nabi having containing him since he would feint one way, go the other and whip in those extremely dangerous low flying crosses. Forget Robben, even wingers like Bidesh Bose, Manas Chakraborti could do this with elan and unfailing accuracy in the eighties. Unless he learns to cut and dodge both ways, he will end up another Snehasish Chakraborti who can cut on the outside, Manish cuts on the inside.
3. Lack of passing accuracy, especially the final pass to the strikers are almost always wayward.
4. Funny free style wrestling of opponent defender once blocked, this needs to stop immediately, he should pass the ball and not gift the opponent free kicks.
