Is that the fault of the ISL or IMG-Reliance? Is news from the I-League really blocked? We are still getting stories from Bengaluru FC and their AFC Cup campaign, stories occasionally about a player about to join a Kolkata club, maybe a story about Minerva or another club making a signing or something.
The fact that the AIFF have not confirmed the teams is squarely on them, that is the reality check you need. If IMG-Reliance were really scared then we would not have seen a push to promote Bengaluru FC and their AFC Cup run, we would not see mentions of I-League clubs during ISL matches, and we would not see any news regarding the I-League from outside sources. What is going on right now with the AIFF is nothing new, they have been doing this even before the ISL was founded in 2013.
Just did a favour to IFN by delaying @AF700's retirement by one point.
Who is caring for I-league? IMG-R is supposed to do the marketing, not Infantino. How many teams this year? 9, 10, 12? who knows it? Is this the last year of the league? What is the status of induction of new corporate team(s)? Will there be telecast?
Why we do not have the answers when teams should start the pre-season? Will AIFF or their marketing partners come forward?
All news/ discussions in the public media is by the fans or press or the clubs, AIFF-IMGR do not have any say in this. All we got was 'if it is happening, it happening if it is not happening, it is not' from the Buffoon in-Charge.
I-League clubs also need to be more proactive in promoting themselves in main stream media and social media. They should not rely only on AIFF to promote them. They should atleast show that they are competing for viewership.Once clubs start promoting them well, there will be pressure on AIFF to properly schedule I-League. Even the biggest Derby of India is not promoted well by them. Why will IMG-Reliance promote them when they are directly or indirectly involved with their own Franchises of petty league?
@Deb_Ban Why delay it? This shit has been going on well before this ISL began! What is going on with the delay in the I-League and lack of stories is nothing new and something I very much doubt IMG-Reliance could give two shits about.
If i do ur work for u then why should u still work? The same logic applies for sick league teams as well.
Instead of shedding crocodile tears on lack of marketing by impotent AIFF do your own marketing. Oh shit wait....Yeah they are not marketable at all except of BFC, MB and EB who want to cut away from that league.
Hello, IMG-Reliance is the commercial partner of AIFF and responsible for marketing of I-League as well as Indian National Team. Also, FSDL members are present in all the meetings of I-League. And all the I-League barring from Goan and DSK, most of them had good stadium occupancy even without marketing. Even Salgaocar FC had good crowd when they played at Tilak Maidan.
