corporated clubs are just not getting their main job of attracting fans with their football display in india that is the reason why we should have a new look clubs in place of teams like dempo, salgaokar who have done reasonably in playing good football but they missed the main thing about professional football of attracting fans and making their club functional only on the basis of stuffs like merchandise and ticket charges....
running a football club is not a charity thing ...all those club who run for their pride and think this as charity should shut down ...this is what is my view
Exactly, in a franchise league they would fold after one season
So far then we know who 4 clubs are that will participate in the league through newspaper reports...
1) United Sikkim FC
2) Eagles FC
3) Golden Threads FC
4) Quartz SC
At this moment is seems as if United Sikkim have the early advantage as I cant see any of the Kerala clubs challenging. Maybe Eagles FC but QSC is a youth academy so the team will be very young, mind the 3-4 foriegners. And Golden Threads has not changed from last years 5th place finish in last years league which included 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses.
Meanwhile there is sad news that Chandni FC and Malabar United have folded and left the league respectivly. Chandni has reportedly folded all together which is no surprise to me as they started off great as FC Cochin but then Chand brought the club and changed the name to his name practically so you could tell he was in it for the money but then he saw that they were not making money and that Chandni FC were going nowhere so he dropped the club (Note: That is what I think happened not what actually did lead to there downful. That is unknown). Malabar on the other hand have just dropped out of the I-League 2nd Division this season. Reason unknown but my guess is that Malabar saw unorganized they were so may be taking a year off to sort there stuff out and return in 2013 as a professional club. They will in 2012-13 play in state tournaments.
Now my question is... Where is Josco SC. They started trials yet according to the article this is it for Kerala. Either way it does not matter as Josco was never going to get promotion.
So the teams for this 2nd Division is doing well. Now lets bring in some Goan, West Bengal, North-East, North, Maharashtra, Delhi and Chennai clubs in as well.
i just hope quartz fc proves to be this seasons surprise package like the way royal wahingdoh won hearts last season...as they promote good amount of young talents too
dates are yet to be announced but the locations are confirmed with group stage in nagpur, siliguri and one other place i think...
and final phase is in bengal(again siliguri ,not sure though)

East(6):- kolkatta - 5 and orissa -1
so aiff planning for cfl in i-league 2???5 teams in 2nd div is too much for any state and here these number are for a city which already has 4 teams in top-div.... <!-- s:angry-argument: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/angry/argument.gif" alt=":angry-argument:" title="Argument" /><!-- s:angry-argument: -->
good to see club from orissa which has a good following for non cricketing sports- they are one of main place where some of top hockey players comes from...hope we get good football players too <!-- s:clap: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/eusa/clap.gif" alt="" title="Clap" /><!-- s:clap: -->

all teams will play once
and for your info the group in not easier. Southern Samity (Kolkata), Sesa Academy (Goa), Langsing FC (Meghalaya) are the teams which can easily be the thorns for your favourite team.but hopefully USFC should make it to the top division ..
all the best for your team anyway....
I would have preferred more clubs from Delhi region and some clubs from Chennai, Ahmadabad and Hyderabad. BTW, aren’t there any football clubs in Nagpur, Indore, Raipur and Vizag? Too many clubs from Kolkata, I would have liked some from rest of Bengal (if there are any).
Plus I am not sure about PIFA, Kenkre, and the Bangalore academy (never heard of it). WTH, AIFF can’t find some decent clubs to take to the fields for the second most important league of the country! Why don’t they rear (incubate) some clubs?
